PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
I currently work as a Lead User Experience Designer at Color of Change, which works to create a less hostile world for Black people in America. As the first user experience designer at the organization, I work to evangelize and teach about user experience design principles, while supporting the team on important projects.
Prior to Color Of Change, I was a User Experience Design Manager at Forum One, a digital agency in Alexandria, Virginia, that specializes in providing innovative and impactful solutions for mission-driven clients.
Prior to user experience design, I worked in social and economic policy research at Abt Associates. While there, I honed in on my rigorous research skills, including interviews, focus groups, and surveys. In particular, I studied homelessness, runaway and homeless youth, job training programs, and Hispanic families and children in the U.S. This rigorous research served as a platform for the audience research I now conduct as a user experience designer.
I moved from policy research to user experience design to continue to study audiences and what they need, and to then be part of creating solutions.
I hold a Tier 1 U.S. Federal Government Security Clearance.
